Opened for the millenium, Eden is the
world's largest global garden. The scene is breathtaking
- a world in microcosm: a cultural melting pot of global
plants both wild and cultivated are housed in a glass
dome large enough to fully enclose the Tower of London
in its 60 meter deep crater. The Garden of Eden contains
plants and trees ranging from the Amazon to West Africa
to Malaysia and is the only one of its kind anywhere
in the world.
Take a short coach journey from Fowey to Eden. You
are welcomed by the an Eden steward and led into the
visitor centre to meet your expert guide before taking
an easy stroll into the massive conservatories known
as biomes where you will learn of the wonders of this
amazing project and the flora of the world. You are
welcome to explore alone at your own pace if you prefer
and there are plenty of places to sit and rest. Afterwards,
take time to shop for plants or seeds before re-boarding
your coach to return to Fowey
