Enjoy the combination of a coastal
tour coupled with seeing some of the German Occupation
sites and fortifications, far in excess of their military
significance. The Channel Islands used one twelfth of
the resources for the entire Atlantic Wall and 10% of
all concrete and iron. Hilter's attachment to the Channel
Islands, his Inswelwahn, Island madness, proved excessive.
Visit St. Aubins and Noirmont Point (German Bunker),
as well as seeing wonderful views to the south east
coast and the beautiful Bay of Portelet.
At St. Brelades and Corbiere pass more fortifications.
Travel along beautiful St.Ouens Bay and then turn inland
to the North Coast and Rozel, St.Catherines and Mont
Orgeuil, Gorey. Return to St.Helier via the inland route.
During your tour this morning stop at a scenic beauty
spot to enjoy light refreshments before returning to
your ship.
