Take a journey through the breathtaking
Dee valley to visit Balmoral Castle, the Scottish home
of the Royal Family. Open to the public for only a few
weeks a year, visit this fabulous and world famous castle,
which has been a favourite Royal Retreat since 1848.
Enjoy a special tour of the Castle, followed by time
at leisure to explore the gardens or pick up some Royal
souvenirs at the castle shop. Then, continue to Braemar.
The parish of Braemar and Crathie has been a playground
of Kings, and nobles of the land since the dawn of Scottish
history. In the heart of the village lie the ruins of
the great castle of Kindrochit (“The Head of the
Bridge ”).
Visit Braemar to explore, shop and enjoy lunch at your
leisure at one of the local restaurants, Inns or bakeries
of your choice (lunch is not included in the price).
Afterwards re-board your coach for the journey back
to the ship.
