Anstruther lies a little north of Edinburgh
across the Forth estuary and is the largest of the villages
in the region of East Neuk. A typical seaside village
with many of the shops in a long line overlooking the
harbour whos history can be witnessed in the nearby
Scottish Fisheries Museum. Closest to Anstruther is
nearby St Andrews;
the home of golf. Further North over the Firth of Tay
brings us to the childhood home of our much-loved Queen
Mother; Glamis
Castle. Castles and palaces
abound in this area and the architectural heritage is
rich. The cosmopolitan and vibrant city of Edinburgh
is also with easy reach for a full day tour.
