The port of Peterhead lies north of
Aberdeen on the North East coast of Scotland and, as
with Aberdeen,
gives access to the beautiful countryside for which
the region is famed. Favoured by the Queen for her grand
hunting estate at Balmoral, the area is rich in historic
buildings. Head out to Pitmedden Gardens for a sample
of the glorious formal parterre gardens that were so
popular on the largest estates in the 17th Century.
Alternatively, drive South to Aberdeen port for a chance
to see the highlights of this city.
