| Disembark your tender at Dunvegan’s
private pontoon and enjoy the short walk to the Castle,
the seat of the Clan MacLeod chiefs since the 11th Century.
The jewel in the crown of the Isle of Skye, Dunvegan is
both the greatest and most renowned among Hebridean strongholds,
and the only one which has been continuously owned and
occupied by the same family, during a period now reaching
back over a span of very nearly 8 centuries.
Dunvegan Castle will be closed to the public so that
by special invitation of the owners the Castle it will
be yours exclusively this evening. You will be met by
a welcoming pipe band and presented with your souvenir
guide books at the castle front door before moving into
the castle for a tour of this family home of John MacLeod
the 29th Chief of MacLeod.
Finish this very exclusive visit with a champagne reception
hosted by the manager* of Dunvegan Castle while enjoying
the musical accompaniment of a traditional Scottish
clarsach player. As you depart you will be presented
with a lovely souvenir of your visit of a miniature
bottle of Chief John MacLeod of MacLeod’s own
malt whiskey.

the visit, John MacLeod the present Chief of the Clan
